Trying to figure out what this flywheel was used for. It is a Hudson part, but if you look at the picture, you can see where the original bolt holes were filled in, and new ones drilled but in a wider pattern. My guess was that a non Hudson engine was hooked up the the Hudson transmission, but that seems like a strange thing to do. 10" clutch. Thoughts?

It looks like it was modified to fit a 55-56 crankshaft.0

I thought about that too, but what about the difference in crankshaft length?

There is no telling what transmission they were using... I did the same thing when I put a Chevy trans behind the hornet engine in my car. I'll see if i can find a photo.0

The six extra holes were to take a little weight off the flywheel.0 -

I was still attached to the cork clutch....
